Del Parson’s work is some of the most well-known paintings in the LDS Church. They are known world-wide and have been used in countless publications for decades. His religious and historical paintings have received numerous awards, and his work has been exhibited in many shows across the country.
Parson grew up in Rexburg, Idaho. His father was an art professor at Ricks College (now BYU Idaho) and Del found his father’s love of art to be contagious. After earning his Master’s of Fine Arts degree from BYU, he quickly became a gallery and portrait artist.
He is now living in Utah with his second wife and six children. As anyone who has seen his paintings of Christ can attest, they evoke a strong emotional response from their viewers, and we hope you feel the same.
